This is a poster made to introduce typographer Frédéric Rich to my typography class. I highlighted his quirky hand drawn fonts and retro-gaming inspired Space Invaders sprites to reflect his personality then used the twenty five other fonts he created as a background.
MoundVegas Poker Tournament

I designed this poster for a poker tournament held in Moundville, Alabama affectionately called MoundVegas by the regulars. I enjoyed adding rustic, masculine elements and experimenting with custom type.
Alabama Afternoons

(Winner of a 2013 Tuscaloosa Student SIlver ADDY Award) I designed this book cover for Alabama Afternoons, a collection of interviews of notable Alabamians by Roy Hoffman. For this book cover I chose a rustic script font then added freehand swirls to frame the book title title. I loved working on the embellishment for this piece.

Bridal Tea

This is an invite suite for a bridal tea. In addition to the invitation I created a few posters for the mimosa bar and an advice Card station. I used youthful colors and a rustic font to match the theme of the shower.
Jessica & Joshua

I designed this wedding suite for a good friend and her husband. Jess requested a romantic custom design for their names. She picked out the floral stock art and I arranged it along the edges of the invitation to frame the text. We carried the same style throughout the rest of the suite and alternated the light and dark backgrounds.
